Travel Galapagos Islands

When I decided that I wanted to go travel Galapagos Islands, I really didn’t know where to begin.  I read every website I could find, borrowed all the travel guides and tried my very best to get the greatest experience in the shortest amount of time and getting it for the cheapest bargain price around.  Basically I am the type of guy who likes to get his bang for the buck!  To also put my experience into perspective – I was going on a 3-month long honeymoon with my newlywed wife, so I needed to make sure there was enough luxury, yet on a shoestring budget!

For my wife and I, the biggest regret of the travel to the Galapagos Islands is that we didn’t go earlier in life!  Yes, I must say that this is an awesome destination, and you too will find that you wish you went earlier in life.  I guess I just wonder why people wait until they retire to come here, as you could go in your 20s, 30s, 40s and be able to brag about it until retirement.

I guess the key point to note when traveling the Galapagos Islands is it’s not a cheap adventure.  My guess is you would be staying a week and you’ll be taking a cruise, so you’ll probably be spending atleast $2500 USD per person based on double occupancy not including flights.  This might be a lot to most people but I think this is going to be one of the most memorable trips of your life, so you really shouldn’t try to scrimp and save on all aspects of this trip.
